The following retailers accept Instacart receipts for refunds and/or store credit. Please note: Only Instacart processes refunds for EBT SNAP purchases, not the retailer. Returns are subject to the store’s return policies, which vary by retailer. Service fees are generally not refundable for returned items.

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits

Returns and exchanges must be made at your local ABC Fine Wine & Spirits store within 30 days of purchase with a valid Instacart receipt for in-store credit only.

At Home

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. At Home issues refunds as store credit. Visit any store and present your Instacart receipt and the item you want to return to an employee. Give your name and photo ID at the time of return.

Bath & Body Works (U.S.)

If you’re not completely satisfied with the quality of the Bath & Body Works products that you purchased from Instacart, bring them to any Bath & Body Works or White Barn store in the U.S. for an exchange or for merchandise credit, subject to the following terms—

Merchandise Credit Value – If you provide an Instacart receipt at the time of the return, you receive merchandise credit based on the price paid for the product. Without a receipt, you receive merchandise credit based on the lowest selling price of the product, factoring in all promotions, discounts, offers, free items (as part of a qualifying purchase), and coupons that may have applied. 

Country of Original Purchase – You must make all exchanges or requests for merchandise credit in the country of original purchase. 

Government-Issued ID – Select U.S. stores require a government-issued ID for all returns and exchanges. Bath & Body Works and White Barn electronically scan or collect information from this ID to prevent return abuse. Select U.S. stores have a $250 limit for non-receipted returns within a 90-day period (this does not include defective merchandise).

Best Buy

Go to Best Buy customer service and show your order number for a refund back to your original payment method once confirmed. Refunds may take up to 5 days to process. Holiday products (ex. artificial trees, lights, decorations, etc.) must be returned within 15 days of delivery.

Big Lots

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. Take your item and Instacart receipt (digital/printed) to any open register at any Big Lots location. Big Lots refunds the credit card you provide. Big Lots issues merchandise credit (gift card) for items purchased more than 30 days ago. Merchandise credits are valid for in-store use only. The value of coupons used is non-refundable. After the return period, return all items covered by a manufacturer’s warranty (ex. electronics) according to the warranty terms.

Body Shop

You must return items in-store for a full credit or refund within 90 days of purchase. Bring your Instacart receipt and a government-issued photo ID.

buybuy BABY 

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store for merchandise credit. Go to the customer service desk at any buybuy BABY retail store and show your Instacart receipt and government-issued photo ID. Most purchases are eligible for exchange or refund within 90 days (exceptions apply, and some items are only eligible for return within 30 days, see retailer's full in-store return policy for details).

Costco

You can return or exchange items purchased through Instacart at any Costco warehouse. Show your Instacart receipt and government issued ID at the returns counter. Items must be unopened and in as-new, resalable condition. Costco issues refunds in the amount of the purchase price. All returns and exchanges require a government issued ID.

DICK'S Sporting Goods 

Go to the in-store checkout and show your Instacart receipt. The retailer offers refunds in the form of a DICK'S Sporting Goods gift card. Please remember to bring a government issued ID with you.

Disney

Merchandise must be returned new, in its original condition at the time of purchase, in the original unopened packaging with original tags and tickets attached. Disney won’t accept returns or exchanges for used or worn merchandise. Customers can return Instacart purchases with an Instacart receipt for a Disney store merchandise credit. Please refer to Disney store’s full return policy for further details, including special products and exceptions.

Doggie Style Pets (U.S.)

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. You must show your Instacart receipt and government-issued ID to a store associate at any Doggie Style Pets location. Items must be unopened and in as-new, resalable condition. Doggie Style Pets refunds are issued as a store gift card in the stated amount.

H&M (Canada) 

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. H&M issues refunds as store credit. Show your Instacart receipt, your valid photo ID, and the item you wish to return to a store associate at any H&M Canada retail store. Most purchases are eligible for exchange or store credit within 30 days (exceptions apply, some items such as swimwear and undergarments are final sale. DTLR

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in new, unused condition with original tags in-store. Go to the counter at any DTLR retail store and present your transaction barcode, if available, or Instacart receipt, if not. Your barcode or receipt will be accessible in your order history page. Most purchases are eligible for exchange or store credit within 30 days. DTLR may also ask you to show a government-issued photo ID.

Finish Line

You can return items directly to a Finish Line store for a full and immediate refund to store credit using your Instacart receipt when the items are—

  • Unworn, in original condition
  • Returned with price tags still attached, if apparel or accessories
  • Returned in their original box, if footwear
  • Returned within 45 days of the original purchase

Five Below

Five Below will gladly exchange or return unopened or defective merchandise with the online order confirmation to any store location.

Giant Tiger

Return the item in its original packaging to the store with your receipt. If you don’t have your receipt, the store issues an in-store gift card for the product’s current value, which may not be the same value as you paid. The in-store gift card can only be used at the issuing store location. No-receipt returns require customer ID.

Home Depot

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. Go to the customer service desk at any The Home Depot retail store and present your transaction barcode, if available, or Instacart receipt, if not. Your barcode or receipt will be accessible in your order history page. Most purchases are eligible for exchange or refund within 90 days. JD Sports

You can return items directly to a JD Sports store for a full and immediate refund to store credit using your Instacart receipt when the items are—

  • Unworn, in original condition
  • Returned with price tags still attached, if apparel or accessories
  • Returned in their original box, if footwear
  • Returned within 45 days of the original purchase

Kiehl’s (U.S.)

You may return your product(s) to a Kiehl’s Boutique for a store credit or exchange of the in-store retail value. All returns and exchanges must include a sales receipt and/or proof of purchase.

Kiehl’s (Canada)

You may return your product(s) to a Kiehl’s Boutique for a store credit or exchange of the in store retail value within 28 days of purchase. All returns and exchanges must include a sales receipt and/or proof of purchase.

Kohl’s

Purchases that need to be returned to the store will receive in-store credit based on the lowest discounted 13-week sale price for the item(s) returned. Additional processing may be required. Returns may require ID.

Return window: 30-180 days, depending on item

Linen Chest

Items purchased through Instacart may be returned for in-store credit 30 days from purchase.

London Drugs

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for return for store credit. Go to customer service at the store and show your Instacart receipt and government-issued photo ID. Customers can access delivery receipts from their Instacart account. Customers can return items to the store within 15 days of purchase for merchandise credit. Some limitations may apply. Lowe’s

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned with proof of purchase to any Lowe’s retail store. Lowe’s accepts returns within 90 days of purchase with some exceptions (please refer to https://www.lowes.com/returns for full policy details). Lowe’s issues an in-store credit for the item’s price and associated tax.

Mastermind Toys 

Purchases are eligible for exchange or refund at any Mastermind Toys location with an Instacart receipt. Items must be unopened and in as-new, resalable condition. Customers receive refunds in the stated amount as a Mastermind Toys gift card.

Michaels 

Go to front-of-store checkout counters and show your Instacart receipt. All returns must be new, unused and in original packaging, with exceptions for defective merchandise or products. Refunds will be issued as store credit for the full purchase amount.

Return window: 60 days

Office Depot/OfficeMax

Orders can be returned for a store credit within 90 days for office supplies, 30 days for unopened ink and toner, or 14 days for technology, unopened software, and unassembled furniture. Opened software, CDs, DVDs, and video games can be exchanged for the same item only. Cleaning, Sanitation, Breakroom, Safety (including COVID test kits, personal protective equipment, masks, face coverings, face shields, gloves, goggles, gowns, thermometers), Facility, and other related products and supplies are non-refundable. A valid driver’s license is required.

Customers can follow the in-app returns flow and use the app for all returns.

Pet Supermarket 

All returns and exchanges require a valid photo ID. You can return items for a refund to your original payment method with an Instacart receipt. Please note that Pet Supermarket issues debit refunds as cash. If you opened the item or don’t have a receipt, you can exchange it or receive a refund for the item’s current selling price to a store gift card. All clearance items are final sale.

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for return for store credit. Go to a register at any Petco store and show your Instacart receipt. You can access your delivery receipt in your Instacart account.

Pharmasave

Subject to variation based on location. Pharmasave accepts returns with an Instacart receipt within 15 days of purchase. Certain exceptions apply including but not limited to: stamps, electronics, and pre-recorded audio/video. Personal care and personal accessory items that have been used, removed from the original packing and/or had tags removed cannot be returned. This includes but is not limited to items such as earrings, breast pumps, cushions, and undergarments.

Popeye’s

Return unopened items for refund or exchange within 30 days. Return opened items for exchange or store credit within 30 days.

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for return for store credit. Go to a register at any Rexall retail store and show your Instacart receipt and government-issued photo ID. You can access your delivery receipt in your Instacart account.

If at any time you don't love your purchase, bring it back for a refund, credit or repair (Instacart proof of purchase required).

Sephora 

New or gently used products purchased through Instacart are eligible for a refund or exchange if returned within 30 days of purchase. Show your printed Sephora receipt, included with your Instacart order, to a Sephora cashier. If your order has an associated transaction barcode, you can use it in place of the printed Sephora receipt. If you have a Beauty Insider account and entered it during your order, you can provide that to the cashier instead of a receipt. Sephora offers refunds for approved returns within 30 days of purchase to your original payment method.

Spirit Halloween

Purchases are eligible for return until October 18, 2024, and exchanges until October 24, 2024, as long as the items are—

  • Unworn.
  • Have the original accessories.
  • Are in new and resalable condition.
  • In the original packaging. 
  • You also need to have your Instacart receipt. 

After October 24, 2024, all sales become final.

Staples

Show your Instacart receipt to the cashier, along with the credit card you used. Staples refunds the payment method  listed on your Instacart receipt. You must return Technology & Furniture within the window indicated below. Some items may be returned later than this date—

  • Ink and toner: Return unopened and unexpired products at any time .
  • Software: Return unopened boxed software that Staples currently sells for a full refund within 30 days. Open boxed software is not returnable or refundable.
  • Office supplies: Return at any time.

The Container Store

Items purchased through Instacart can only be returned in-store. The Container Store issues refunds as store credit. Visit any store and present your Instacart receipt and the item you wish to return to an employee. Purchases are eligible for store credit. Provide your name and a valid photo ID at the time of return.

The 99 Store

The retailer offers exchange or store credit within 9 days of purchase with Instacart receipt for up to 9 items. Seasonal items are excluded.

Vitamin Shoppe

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for return for store credit. Go to a register at any Vitamin Shoppe store and show your Instacart receipt. You can access your delivery receipt in your Instacart account.

Walgreens

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for refunds as store credit. Go to a register at any Walgreens retail store and show your Instacart receipt and government-issued photo ID. You can access your delivery receipt in your Instacart account.

Walmart (U.S.)

Go to customer service and show your Instacart receipt. Walmart offers cash refunds under $10 and a Walmart gift card for refunds over $10. Alcohol is final sale and can't be refunded.

Walmart (Canada) 

Go to the Customer Service desk at any Walmart Canada store and present your Instacart receipt. Please note, Walmart's return policy varies by item. Walmart issues reimbursement in the form of a gift card for returns deemed acceptable based on the item, condition, and time of return.

Whole Foods Market (Canada)

Items purchased through Instacart are eligible for return for store credit. Go to customer service at the store and show your Instacart receipt.
